About us
We are here! We have finally arrived! We are the opportunity that many of you are waiting for. At last, a method of learning languages that doesn't cause drowsiness or have side effects like boredom.
Lingus.TV is a television channel for the new generation devoted to teaching and disseminating languages, while taking advantage of all the social characteristics of the Internet.
In the new era of communication, LingusTV is unique, as a result of its very specific and focused way of teaching language. We are a web TV channel devoted to education and believe that the entertainment and active participation of students is the key to communication in a new language.
Lingus.TV was founded in beta in June 2008 using this method of learning Spanish as a first step to building a network of thematic channels. The situation comedy (sitcom), ?5 y acción?, is our first production, and guiding principle for our system of teaching Spanish.
They say that love is a universal language. We agree, but if you are communicating in good Spanish, imagine the doors that you can open.

Sergio Gazeau
I'm from Barcelona, and I have worked in IT companies since 1995. For the past six years, I have been an editor of a popular brand of self-taught methods of learning languages, here in Spain. I could have stayed in this groove, but after I took a blood test and found that I had an agent "entrepreneur" that wouldn't leave me alone, I followed this voice and created the groundwork for Lingus TV.
I believe that laughter can be a perfect vehicle for learning a language, which is why I have brought together Toni and Joan in on the mix. Playful, professional and fun, they helped to form a perfect team focused on creating both educational and entertaining content. Clearly, not very difficult.
My great loves: my wife and children, everything geek, long bike routes and strong cheeses (example: Cabrales) combined with a good Spanish wine.
Something wrong with me: I smoke (but hopefully, this will only be short term).

When Sergio called me, he suggested that we meet in a bar. It was mid-afternoon, and he said that he would be wearing a black shirt, carrying a MacBookPro, and would be sitting in the first table in a bar on Corsica street. With butterflies in my stomach, I headed down to the bar and there he was, his black shirt and Mac, waiting for me. And after he presented me with the project, it was an imminent match in the making.
Over the past 10 years, I have dedicated my life to communications, publicist by training and creative by profession. At Lingus, one of my primary responsibilities is creating content.
Broadcasting from Barcelona, I would love for all you who wish to accompany us in this adventure to join us in the adventure of teaching languages another way.
Joan Balañá
From analog to digital technology, from ink to pixels, I am. I started many years ago in a family business, a printing press, but grew weary of dealing with words like bites, jigs and similar words.
When I smell a unique project, I go after it, embracing all of the challenges that confront me. My passion is my wife, Natalia, and I am inspired by the sea, which is maybe why I am filming in S'Agaro.
My perfect day? In the morning, a discussion about how to lower our budget by 30%. At midday, I am relaxing at home; and by evening, I am filming and drinking a Mojito while Sergio and Toni are shooting.
Juanjo Pérez
I'm crazy about communication, television and internet. So it was
unavoidable that I form part of this great project. My goal in Lingus.tv is to provide my energy, my experience as a journalist in television, and my passion for new technologies.
How?
With a little programming, with some of SEO and with great online conversation;) Besides handling the web strategy and everything related to the average social media Lingus.tv
I hope you will get in love with this project as I have!
