PACO: Hola amigos, bienvenidos a PACOCINANDO, mi espacio de cocina.

PACO: Hello friends, welcome to PACOCINANDO my cooking space.

Hoy vamos a preparar una receta deliciosa para acompañar embutido, quesos o lo que se os ocurra: el pantomaca, delicioso.

Today we will prepare a delicious recipe to go with sausage and cheese or whatever it is you happen: the pantomaca, delicious.

Vamos a amenizar esta receta con una sardana, ¿por qué no? Se llama “La Rambla de Vilafranca”, si no recuerdo mal. Le doy al play y empiezo.

Esto es especial para acompañar... qué se yo... fuet, jamón serrano, queso manchego, chorizo ibérico, lo que se os ocurra, está buenísimo. ¡Sabe a gloria!

This is served with special fuet, serrano ham, manchego cheese and chorizo ibérico, or whatever you consider, it's delicious. It taste like glory.

    Embutidos are a kind of sausages of different types, made of meat. There are lots of them and we usually have them for dinner or as tapas.

    Me encanta escuchar sardanas mientras cocino.

    I love listening to sardanas while I am cooking.

    Sardanas is a kind of dance typical from Cataluña. They dance in a group.

  • tomates maduros
    ripe tomatos

    Los tomates deben estar maduros.

    Tomatos must be ripe.

    Maduro is the opposite of green, when a fruit is ready to be eaten. We talk also about people. Example: Este chico es muy maduro para su edad. Be careful with SER or ESTAR. SER MADURO refers to people, ESTAR MADURO, refers to fruit.

  • blandos
    soft, tender

    Los tomates están demasiado blandos.

    Tomatos are too soft.

    Pay attentio to adjectives in Spanish. They concordate with the noun according to the gender and number. That is femenin or masculin, singular and plural.

  • boca abajo
    face down

    Se cayó boca abajo.

    It fell face down.

    According to Mr. Murphy's laws, toasts, cookies or bread always fell on the side they are spread of.

Nice episode!! but I gotta say something…a have a catalan friend and she told me this meal is actually catalan, and the real name is “pa amb tomàquet” what means “bread with tomato” then the spaniards came and called it “pantomaca” but its a bit inapropiate to show it as the typical spanish dish (as the actor plays it) when its not.Lets not make the foreigners get confused…By the way, the actor is gorgeous…;) dont u think girls??
