SANDRO: ¿Me puedes hacer un favor?
SANDRO: Can you do me a favour?
ÁGATHA: Depende
ÁGATHA: It depends.
SANDRO: ¿Me puedes poner crema solar en la espalda?
SANDRO: Can you put me some sunscreen on my back?
ÁGATHA: No
ÁGATHA: No
SANDRO: ¿Por qué?
SANDRO: Why?
ÁGATHA: Estoy tomando el sol
ÁGATHA: I'm sunbathing.
SANDRO: Venga Ágatha, que son sólo 30 segundos.
SANDRO: Come on Agatha, it's only 30 seconds.
ÁGATHA: ¿Qué?
ÁGATHA: What?
SANDRO: ¡Que son sólo 30 segundos!
SANDRO: It's only 30 seconds!
ÁGATHA: ¡Que no! que estoy leyendo.
ÁGATHA: I said no! I'm reading.
SANDRO: ¿Estás leyendo o estás tomando el sol?
SANDRO: ¿Are you reading or are you sunbathing?
ÁGATHA: Todo a la vez. Mira, ahora estoy bebiendo.
ÁGATHA: Everything at the same time. Look, now I'm drinking.
SANDRO: Por tu culpa me estoy quemando la espalda.
SANDRO: It's your fault that my back is burning.
ÁGATHA: Bueno vale. Tú ganas. Ya voy. Pero que conste que te hago el favor porque tú y tus quejas me estáis poniendo de los nervios.
ÁGATHA: Well, ok. You win. I'm going to do it. But let's be clear that I'm doing this as a favour because you and your complaining are getting on my nerves.
SANDRO: Va...
SANDRO: Right...
ÁGATHA: Pesadito...
ÁGATHA: Pain in the ass...
SANDRO: ¡ÁGATHA!
SANDRO: ¡ÁGATHA!
¿Me puedes hacer un favor?
Can you do me a favor?
This is the expression we use to ask for favour. Can is translated by PODER, this verb is very used to ask favour or permission. Examples: ¿Puedes ayudarme?
¡Venga, Ágatha!
Come on, Agatha!
¡Venga! is a expression to persuade someone to do something, it has no literal meaning.
Estoy leyendo un libro.
I'm reading a book.
This structure of the verb ESTAR+ Verb in gerund is used to indicate that the action is being done at the same time we are speaking. There are more examples on the video: Estoy tomando el sol.( I'm sunbathing). Estoy bebiendo (I'm drinking). Me estás poniendo de los nervios (You're putting me in the nerves).
Me estoy quemando la espalda por tu culpa.
It's your fault that I'm burning my back.
When you want to blame someone, we use this expression in Spanish.

We have several system in education that you can choose. You can get a formal education at school or you can get a home schooling. This is mean you dont have to go to school you just learn from your house and there will be a special teacher for you.
I am at a beginner level of Spanish. I am glad to see that Spanish-speakers say more than the textbook “Hello, my name is….” and “Where can I catch a train?”. This video was very entertaining, the speed challenges me to push myself to learn as much as I can so I can talk with these fun people!
Hola
Thank you at last i have found a site where I can get to practice speeding up my conversational skill in spanish the way native Spanish speakers do. this is an Excelent site. Yo soy de la ciudad de Zamboanga también conocida como la ciudad latina de Asia.70% de nuestra lengua comprende las palabras españolas el 30% son el dialecto de la región.y ahora está en extinción porque el español ya no se imparte como asunto en nuestro país.
Como lo decimos en Zamboanga, “Amor con amor se paga Hasta luego
pls remove the subtitle from the video, because when i watch it for the first several times, i wanna try to understand it without the subtitle. and maybe u can produce a button below the video which can control the “on & off” of the subtitle. Many thanks!!
Excellent videos. I finally get to practice the grammar that i have been learning in books. And also the practical idioms. And it’s funny tambien. The speed is realistic. It helps me to speed up my usual slow foreign pace.
It would be nice to have in parenthesis or somewhere the infinitive format of the verb so i can go back and review other tenses.
Well done!
hi, just a little spelling correction needed under the topics section: suntain lotion should be spelled “suntan” lotion). Gracias
hola, amigos, estodio spanol , c’est cool les gars, manifico
Muy bien! :)
Ágatha es muy linda…jjj
¡Muy bien! Pero yo también pienso que Sandro habla muy rápido.
This is great, but you should have an option to turn off the subtitles.

Great way to hear the language, but way too fast for a beginner such as myself. Would be nice to have skits where they speak more slowly.
I can see why fellows may find this episode a bit distracting. I guess it will encourage them to view the skit numerous times…
This is a wonderful help to me. I have been learning spanish grammar but havn’t been able to put it into practice because I don’t get the opportunity to hear normal conversation. So thank you so much, I will be a fluent spanish speaker very soon!!!I must add that doing espanol has been the most rewarding and enjoyable learning I have ever done.
Молодцы, отличный сайт! Good job! Thanks!
I love this concept, and wish you success. Since I’m a pure beginner, I wish that some of the “first time” videos were slow and very basic to help listners learn the basic sounds and really really basic speach. Regardless, great site.
WOW. This is like so cool, I’m 11 and really liking your videos, I’m guessing as soon as winter break is over; I’ll be able to talk to my friends in Spanish!
cool site but I am a little hard of hearing and I just go kind of slow lol but thanks for the help I have been trying to learn Spanish for a long time.
Once my spanish tutor left me homework that was listen 4 videos from lingus tv. I liked the website and all the videos were just right for me, althogh I’m only 8 years old.
I’ll like to share the website to my friends.
hi um ya good video! I luv how Agatha talks at just the right speed for me to understand. not to fast, not to slow! But Sandro talks REALLY fast. Well, a little to fast for me. Could you please slow it down a bit? But other wise great, i mean perfecto (hehe used spanish) video!
Love these videos. Great way to learn to understand spoken Spanish as it´s spoken naturally, rather than slowed down. Repeat the video several times and you will start to attune your ear to picking up the phrases. I am picking up great colloquial expressions and new vocabulary.
Omg im only 12 but learning fast thanks 2 ur videos! They are funny and i luv the translations. I wish my spanish teacher @ school showed us these! Maybe I wouldnt skip class as much then. JK. Keep it up! Plz!
this videos are really good because even though i know spanish it helps me sharpen up on my accents and words and the themes are very good and funny
When I was first teaching myself Spanish, I watched children’s cartoons with closed captions on Spanish language TV. After a few months, I was able to watch telenovelas on Spanish TV. It is easy after a while because the same themes come up, amor, amor amor. I also watched them with closed captions.
I agree that these Spaniards are difficult to understand because they speak much differently from Mexicans and other South or Central Americans.
even the beginner level videos are too difficult for me although i’ve been learning spanish for a while. But it’s a good challenge :-) I like it!
Очень хорошо что есть такой сайт. Спасибо.
video is great can understand about 90 percent of what they say could you put more basic videos on thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no hope of learning to speak Spanish if it’s mumbled the way this fellow mumbled the first line, or maybe it’s spoken so fast words are not heard? The girl is very clear and precise. Perfect! Simple to understand. I know Ioften drop words when speaking to friends and close family; but this looses me right away!
The spanish in this video is very helpful for learning how to understand spanish when it is talked at full speed. The video was also very funny and good.
hola, hahahh it was funnny!!!!
Very good site! I hope other languages get similar learning sites! Everything is understandable, useful, userfriendly. Thanks a lot! I am looking forward to more vids!
Solo puedo decir unas cosas….
Estupendo!!! Grandisimo Site!!!
Great site! Very helpful to hear Spanish spoken at a real pace. Keep up the good work, and thanks.
I think these videos provide an excellent supplement to whatever curriculum one is already using; probably not enough on its own though, to really make headway with the language. I really like the site. I’m all for making learning fun.
Love the learning exerience. Two critiques, first the dialogue section would be more functional if it scrolled along with the video. As an alternative it would be useful to allow the user to scroll the dialogue while the video was rolling. Second, the english transations could use a review by a native english speaker.
All in all, I love the site and look forward to viewing your next videos.
I love the videos keep up the good work and for MFS maybe he or she does need to find another site. Believe it or not I have been around Spanish speakers all my life I am Hispanic but I can not speak the language my brain just seem not to be wired to speak it but for the first time it is clicking.
Keep it up and thanks!!!
Ms. Gonzalez
WOW, i love the dialogs. I thought i was more of an intemediate student but i am learning from the beginer leasons also. “por tu culpa” i would have thought would have been “Es tu culpa”. I was saying it incorrectly. also this line “tus quejas me estáis poniendo de los nervios.”. Estar is in the vosotros form here but she is only talking to one person. I would think she would use the tu (estas) form of the verb. Keep up the good work!
Excelente!
!estupendo!
My personal glossary:
la espalda - my back. quemando - is burning. que conste - let it be clear (constar = To be clear, evident, certain). quejas - complaining.
Posted where I can find it when I want to review.
I feel lucky I came across such a site - I am started learning spanish in Calcutta, India and I find it very handy - I contonue to follow your exercises Tapan Chakravarty Calcutta West Bengal India
I agree that the videos are very helpful. It would be interesting to learn spiritual conversations in Spanish. For example, people talking about life, death, resurrection, experiences with the Jesus Christ, etc.
I find the videos helpful. In particular that people speak at a real conversational pace,i.e., fast for me (which is what I need), that the conversations seem conversational (even though obviously contrived situations), and that there’s plenty of informal and idiomatic usage. (If anyone knows of similar sites, pls let me know).
It’s obvious the site is just starting out, and I hope it will continue its development.
Hi MFS, maybe our videos are not useful for you. We are doing the first steps in teaching spanish in a different way. I hope you’ll find in the future some tools good for you.
Best
You folks have got to be kidding. There is no way that one could use this site in any meaningful way. What I want to know is who got the grant money? P.S. You can take the girl out of the mid-west, but there is no way that you can take the mid-west out of the girl. Triple decalf half skim milk lattes???????? only in America. Thank God!
I’m spanish, and I think this is a perfect way to learn my language. Kraisen
As I am an Asian, it is really interesting to learn Spanish in this fashion! Jokingly!
hahahah good one but very “distracting”…I was all the time paying more attention to her legs than learning Spanish ….LOL
PD> nice legs yummmm!!…more lessons please
